Mardi was born in Hobart , Tasmania where she learnt to hand make leather shoes. She moved to London shortly after, where she continued learning all aspects of shoe making and design, she also completed various courses in jewellery, accessories, drawing, painting and graffiti. She completed a Masters degree in Footwear and Accessories from Polimoda, Italy. Mardi is currently based in east London, she hopes to further her knowledge and experience in the fashion industry and is currently developing her own brand of handmade - made to measure footwear and accessories.

Corroboree

A corroboree is an event where Australian Aborigines interact with the Dreamtime through dance, music and costume, the word corroboree embraces song and dance. The Corroboree collection follows on from the Dreamtime collection where by traditional symbols are used in contemporary Aboriginal Art. The designer tells the stories of her own dreams through her designs. The symbols are relatively simple shapes and lines which together tell more complex stories of the meanings and interpretation of her sub conscious.
