TESLIN DOUD FROM PARSONS WINS NEW CFDA AWARD

Teslin Doud a designer from Santa Cruz, California, has been named the winner of the first annual Tory Burch Mentorship Award in partnership with The Council of Fashion Designers of America, (CFDA)
Teslin Doud who undertook the BA in Fashion at Parsons New School in New York will receive a unique first-hand industry experience with Tory Burch's brand in a one year mentorship that will lead to her producing a collection with the expertise and guidance of the brand's team.
The experience will also include a trip to Première Vision clothing fabric show in Paris to choose her desired fabric and two professionally constructed pieces for her senior year thesis collection.
Tory Burch, CEO and designer of her eponymously named luxury lifestyle brand, chose Doud for environmentally produced work and laid-back Californian style saying she ”...is incredibly talented and our team is looking forward to helping her realize her enormous potential.
The Tory Burch team is “thrilled to be partnering with the CFDA on a program to provide design students with hands-on exposure to the industry and to the challenges and rewards of designing a collection.”
